The fruit here comes from one of the first parcels obtained by Rodolphe and Laetitia, uniquely surrounded by forest on all sides. The 60-year-old vines benefit from the shade of the trees early and late in the day, which brings a lot of freshness into the wine. The grapes were macerated for 4 weeks in large wooden vats, pressed, and then moved back to the same foudre for 1 year of ageing. An elegant wine that, along with its concentrated dark fruited profile, shows subtle spice, savoury notes and is framed by delicate tannins.
