New from Domaine de la Loue

After a year that was disastrous for most across the region, including a near total wipe out for Catherine Hannoun of Domaine de la Loue, questions remain as to how vignerons are able to recover and much hope resides for the upcoming vintage. It really does feel like make or break for many and so we feel especially grateful to have new wines at all. Just before the Christmas break we received a small pallet from Domaine de la Loue and following a little rest over the holidays these are now hitting their stride.

Just two new wines are available from Catherine, her Savagnin ouillé from 2019, which, as usual, is one of the benchmarks of the grape in this style from the region, and her Trousseau, Le Rouge from 2020 - a wonderfully delicate and pretty wine that benefits hugely from her mille-feuille style of maceration.

As usual only a handful of cases of each wine arrived on our shores. For more information head to our website or please get in touch via sales@beattieandroberts.com.
