Grapes harvested from southern Beaujolais spent 2.5 months macerating as a whole-cluster infusion. Specifically vinified as 40% whole-bunch Gamay submerged in 60% direct-press juice, this ratio of more whole-bunch to less direct-press juice with a shorter maceration time allows for a slightly bolder palate with a darker, more brambly fruit note. The finish rounds out the more robust fruit with mellow integrated tannins resulting in a more classical style of Gamay.
