A blend of two parcels with 40 and 65 year old vines planted on similar clay-heavy limestone soils. Half of the Pinot Noir was vinified in whole bunches and half was destemmed and macerated with destemmed Gamay. Once the juice was pressed, Hervé aged the wine on lees of Chenin Blanc for added depth and texture. A pale ruby red in the glass, this wine begins with lively, young red fruits before opening into layers of subtle minerality, gentle savoury notes and soft tannins.
